Josh Jacobs to Bills?
The past several weeks, the Buffalo Bills have been linked to free agent running back Josh Jacobs.
If the Bills wish to make a splash that could carry them past the Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs in 2023, this may be a valuable addition.
In 2022 Jacobs led the NFL in rushing for the first time in his career.
His success was vital to the Las Vegas Raiders success a season ago.
They were 5-1 when he rushed for over 100 yards. And they went 1-10 when he didn’t hit the century mark.
Vegas declined Jacobs’ 5th year option in the 2022 offseason, which is why he is hitting free agency this year.
The Bills should be looking to add a game changing running back to help take the pressure off of Josh Allen.
The Bills had a less consistent running game in 2022 and if they wish to limit Allen’s turnovers and open up play action, Josh Jacobs may be the answer.
Bills running back Devin Singletary is due to hit free agency this off season and their running backs under contract are not ready to be their number one option.
Jacobs could provide the spark needed for 2023 and beyond.
