We used NFL wide receivers whose run block snap counts were greater than 90 during the 2022 season. We identified 46 receivers using this criteria. We used PFF run block grade.
Detroit Lions receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown, had an impressive run blocking grade of 77.1 (PFF grade). St. Brown was followed closely behind by Robert Woods (76.4 grade) of the Tennessee Titans. Another Titans wide receiver, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, also made the top 5 list (69.5 grade). The other receivers were Mack Hollins (74.9 grade) from the Raiders and Terrace Marshall Jr. (64.5 grade) from the Panthers.
Robert Woods ranked #4 overall in 2021 with a 84.9 run blocking grade on 203 run blocking snap counts.
Mike Evans had the lowest grade out of all receivers with a 35.6 run blocking grade. In 2021 Evans ranked in the bottom half of receivers for run blocking with a 54.1 grade. Josh Palmer was one of the worst blocking receivers in 2021 with a 46.5 grade. Peoples-Jones ranked even further below than Palmer with a 43.3 grade.
Allen Lazard was ranked #41 for best blocking receivers in 2021 with a 61.5 grade.
