Bisaccia gets bigger role with Packers
In 2023, Rich Bisaccia will be taking on a bigger role for the Green Bay Packers.
The special teams’ coordinator has been named assistant head coach under head coach Matt LaFleur. Under Bisaccia’s leadership the Green bay special teams unit greatly improved in 2022 after struggles in previous seasons.
In 2021, Bisaccia had served as special teams’ coordinator and interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders following the resignation of Jon Gruden. Bisaccia lead the Raiders to a 7-5 record and playoff berth. In 2022, the Raiders had fewer wins in a full season without Bisaccia.
“He’s super intense, which I love and he brings an edge to us,” LaFleur said of Bisaccia. Bisaccia, a 21 year NFL coaching veteran, did interview for the head coaching vacancy in Indianapolis and should garner more attention in 2023 and beyond.
