LAS VEGAS — Travon Walker’s jaw-dropping Pro Day apparently catapulted him to No. 1
The Georgia Bulldog edge rusher was picked first by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, capping off a meteoric rise in recent weeks.
A stout run defender with speed, Walker was considered a top 25 prospect at the end of the Bulldog’s season but saw his stock soar this spring after logging rare metrics in the NFL Combine.
Viewed as uber-athletic but lacking in bigtime stats to show for it, Walker will now slot opposite Josh Allen.
