Scouts reported Colorado State TE Trey McBride ran in the 4.5 range the school’s pro-day.
For McBride, the feat was an important one because he didn’t run at the NFL Combine. Those totals would put McBride in second place among tight ends this year.
Here’s how the top five fared at the Combine:
For context, Wide Receiver Treylon Burks ran in the same range as McBride. Not great stuff for a wide receiver but for a 6’4″ tight end with blocking prowess, it’s upper level speed.
For McBride, whose all-around game, already ranked at the top of the pack, this will likely only improve his shot of being the first Tight End off the board in April.
