Ereck Flowers

Rejuvenated Ereck Flowers joining free agent pool

A dominant run-blocker is on the move.

The Washington Commanders cut Ereck Flowers on Wednesday, sending the 27-year-old into a market that has seen free agent guards cash in this week.

Flowers posted a 72 Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade in 2021, shedding an early “bust” label that haunted him in New York.

Flowers’ success came under Commanders’ OC Scott Turner, the son of longtime coach Norv Turner, and a guy who has previously worked in the Carolina Panthers organization.
