In a season of inconsistency there have been few consistencies for the Las Vegas Raiders.
One such player is wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.
Meyers has 37 receptions for over 350 yards and five touchdowns.
He ranks second the team in receptions and yards behind Davante Adams.
Meyers does have 2 more touchdowns than Adams this season.
More importantly for Vegas, Meyers has 21 receptions in the 3 wins for Vegas, opposed to 13 for Adams.
Meyers also missed their Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a concussion he sustained against the Broncos in Week 1.
Adams has been vocal about the way he is being utilized. Meyers though has been relatively quiet and has been a stable target for the rotating quarterback room. He has caught touchdowns from both Jimmy Garoppolo and rookie Aidan O’Connell.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Adams has a grade of 80.6.
Meyers has a grade of 71.9.
Also according to PFF, Meyers is listed 13th among all wide receivers in targets. He is also tied at the 15th rank among all wide receivers among receptions, is listed 26th among receiving yards, and is tied for fourth for receiving touchdowns on the season.
Meyers who was signed in the offseason after spending the first part of his career in New England has made the most of his chance with Vegas.
Once Garoppolo returns, he could be a vital part of Vegas’ effort to stay in the playoff mix.
