Raiders QB Stidham turning heads

Starting in his second straight preseason game for the Las Vegas Raiders, Jarrett Stidham continues to play well.  Starting in place of presumed starter Derek Carr, Stidham has looked sharp displaying excellent poise and presence as the Raiders Quarterback.

In the Hall of Fame versus Jacksonville, Stidham completed 8 passes for 96 yards and ran for a touchdown in the Raiders 27-11 win.  During the second preseason game vs the Vikings, he completed 10 passes for 68 yards.  Also, for the second straight week he run for a touchdown.  The Raiders won the home opener 26-20 over Minnesota.

“It’s good to get a win and get back out there”, said Stidham after the game with Vikings. “Guys are working really hard to improve every day and we’re all working really hard to make jumps and make leaps and that’s all we can do during training camp is try and improve every day.”

During the offseason, the Raiders traded for the quarterback from the New England Patriots for a seventh-round draft pick.  Stidham is in his third year in the NFL after being drafted by the Patriots in 2019, after a career at the university of Auburn.
