In Week 8 on Monday Night Football, Davante Adams slammed his helmet on the sideline in frustration.

The Las Vegas Raiders fell to 3-5 and it seemed like Adams days in Vegas were numbered. A coaching change and 2-2 record since has now many to think Adams may wish to stay past 2023.

Adams has 22 passes and 1 touchdown in the 4 game span. He has been targeted 40 times as well. He has also come out in support of both the new head coach and quarterback. “A lot of good,” Adams said of rookie quarterback, Aidan O’Connell. “Obviously, a lot of things he can learn from as well. That comes with playing quarterback in his league. Those are, I think somebody said to me after the game, growing pains of playing this position. It’s the toughest one to play, but he’s done a great job, made some big strides since when he first got here, and he’s just continuing to evolve and learn.

Adams was also seen hanging onto every word of Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce after the Raiders 30-6 win over the New York Giants.

In that game, despite only four catches for Adams, he was seen being a vocal during the game for O’Connell and fellow receivers.

A source has told ESPN, that the New York Jets will pursue Adams to reunite with Aaron Rodgers next season. Sources said they believe that whether the Raiders consider trading Adams could depend on how their season finishes.

Winning at least two more games this season and the Raiders going with the stability of Pierce and O’Connell could be the difference in keeping Adams for 2024 and beyond.
