The night of October 30th, the Buffalo Bills were 6-1 and riding high, being first in the AFC East. Two weeks later the Bills have lost two straight and now are in third place in the division.
One reason that may have led to their recent slide is Josh Allen’s red zone troubles this season.
Allen has thrown 5 interceptions in the red zone this season — leading the NFL.
Allen has 10 interceptions total in 2022 despite having only 15 all last season.
Three of the red zone interceptions have come in the last two weeks in losses to the Jets and Vikings.
The final interception against the Vikings came in overtime when Allen evidently forced the ball into the end zone despite having the check down option available.
Allen, injured from an UCL injury against the Jets last week, also fumbled leading to a Vikings touchdown with 40 seconds left on Sunday.
The Bills are looking to right the ship this coming Sunday vs the Cleveland Browns.
