Hollins on the Rise

Mack Hollins

Standing at the podium this week, Davante Adams described receiver Mack Hollins as an unwavering teammate.

“He’s the same guy every day …” he told media.

His statistics through 3 games this season are rewriting that narrative, however.

Hollins, in fact, is already well on his way to a career year.

Last week, Hollins for the Las Vegas Raiders caught 10 passes for 158 yards and 1 touchdown in a 24-22 loss the Tennessee Titans.

Both number of catches and yards were a career high.

And his 240 yards on the season are also a career high, despite only lining up in three games.

At this pace, Hollins could be a huge pick up for some fantasy owners off the waiver wire in Week 4.  With much attention on both Davante Adams and Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfroe injured with a concussion, Hollins has stepped up as a new target for Derek Carr.  He’s had 19 targets in the first three weeks of the season.

Hollins is entering his 5th year in the NFL, drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017.  He spent time with the Miami Dolphins in 2020 and 2021.  Says star receiver Adams, “He’s the same guy every day, which is something that you got to appreciate in a teammate.”  Hollins, Adams and the Raiders look to get their first win of the season on Sunday vs the Denver Broncos.
