Flowers may get chance to bloom again in Miami

Trey Flowers’ search for a new team is headed to South Beach.

The longtime New England Patriot will work out for the Miami Dolphins this week, NFL.com reported.

Flowers displayed pass rush prowess under Bill Belichick but hasn’t matched that total in the years since he took a big payday with the Detroit Lions.

Over the past two seasons, he’s played in just 14 total games, logging 3 1/2 sacks over the same span.

Flowers’ Pro Football Focus grade during his abbreviated 2021 season was a recent low mark of 63.

Flowers has been on the market since spring but hasn’t generated much interest.
