Fantasy Sleeper RB 2022: Saquon Barkley

I would like to point out that it seems weird to list Saquon Barkley as a sleeper, but almost every fantasy running back ranking list has Barkley outside the top 10 RBs for PPR in 2022.

If you look back to 2019 and 2020, Barkley was ranked as a top 3 RB. Barkley was even listed as a top 5 running back in 2021, but now very few rankings will have him in their top 10.

I understand the rankings when considering Barkley’s history of injuries, but Barkley is entering his 5th NFL season and should expect an increased workload this season. If Barkley could stay mostly healthy this season, then he could finish as one of the best fantasy RBs.

Below are Saquon Barkley’s career stats:

I am not expecting 2018 numbers where Barkley amassed over 2000 combined yards with 15 total touchdowns, but I believe he will come close. I am predicting 50+ receptions, 1500+ combined yards, and 10+ total touchdowns. This would return Barkley to top 5 RB status.
