Foles Gold? Colts’ Reich and former QB had magical run in 2017

The Indianapolis Colts apparently aren’t done adding veteran quarterbacks to their locker room.

And in this case, it signals a reunion between Head Coach Frank Reich and the QB who once led his former team to a Super Bowl.

Now 33 years old, Nick Foles has become a journeyman — most recently as a backup for the Chicago Bears.

But according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, The Colts are planning to finalize a deal by early next week.

Foles would step in to back up veteran signalcaller Matt Ryan — but he knows Reich’s offense as well as anyone and he’s shown before he can step in with a hot hand if the No. 1 guy goes down.

In fact, the pair have a 6-1 record together during part of two seasons with the Eagles, including their 3-0 “Philly Special” run in 2017.

Foles was 24 for 35 for 250 yards and one touchdown last year in one start.

Over his career he has 82 touchdowns and 43 ints — as well as a winning record.
