This season for the Buffalo Bills, the city and the team have high expectations. On Saturday at least for one series, the Josh Allen the Bills offense met the expectations. During the preseason game vs the Denver Broncos, Allen and the offense drove the length of the field resulting in an opening touchdown throw from Allen.
Allen completed all three pass attempts, including the touchdown pass to Gabe Davis for 28 yards. The drive including Devin Singletary running three times for twenty five yards. The touchdown gave Buffalo the lead over Denver 7-3. A lead they did not relinquish winning the game 42-15. The Bills now are 2-0 in the preseason.
The drive must of have been enough for head coach Sean McDermott. The touchdown drive was the only for Allen during the game. Case Keenum relieved Allen, also tossing a touchdown late in the 2nd Quarter. “Proud how we handle ourselves today, it was good to see,” said Allen after the game.
Said Allen of the touchdown, “It was a high low concept and they pushed the safety to the 3 man side leaving Gabe one on one.”
