Purdue’s pressure man, George Karlaftis skipped the 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine earlier this month. He’ll get another chance this week as the Boilermakers host their Pro Day in Indiana.
Karlaftis has been drawing attention since he exploded onto the scene as a freshman in 2019.
Over his three-year career at Purdue, Karlaftis has logged 117 pressures – despite playing only three games in 2020. His total pressures (54) ranked 12th in the FBS, even though his steady, almost constant pressure, generated just 5 sacks. In 2021, his Pro Football Focus pass rush grade was 90.6 (15th in FBS) His pass rush win-rate, 23.6%, was 14th.
