Micah Hyde

As Hyde says farewell to Buffalo, here’s three options to replace him

Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer have been a solid presence for the Buffalo Bills in the defensive backfield.  Both have been on the Bills since 2017.

Both Pro Bowl safeties’ future with the team now is a huge question mark entering the 2024 offseason.

Hyde’s wife, Amanda, recently posted on social media a goodbye to the Buffalo fan base signaling that Hyde will leave.

“This is really the city of good neighbors, and what a privilege it has been,” Amanda Hyde wrote. “Thank you for making this place our home. Thank you for being so good to us. Thank you for making each season so special. And thank you for making this place so hard to leave. You will always have a piece of our hearts, and man, do we love you guys!”

Buffalo should be looking at the upcoming draft to replace either Hyde and Poyer or both.  According to NFLdraftbuzz.com, there are many candidates at the position Buffalo should look at.  The top 3 are, Tyler Nubin (Minnesota), Kamren Kinchens (Miami, FL), and Calen Bullock (USC).  Below is their rating according to the site.

  1. Tyler Nubin; Rating: 87.3
  2. Kamren Kinchens; Rating: 86.9
  3. Calen Bullock; Rating: 86.4

Buffalo was once again knocked out the divisional round of the playoffs.

With Mahomes and Burrow not going anywhere and CJ Stroud up and coming the road to a Super Bowl title won’t get any easier.

A strong and young defensive backfield could be the difference for Buffalo.
